About

AnyFileStudio is a collection of file tools — images, PDFs, documents, QR and barcodes, archives — that run inside the browser window you are using right now. They are free, they ask for no sign-up, and there is no daily limit you can only get past by paying.

Who makes it

The site belongs to Davide Pergola, an independent developer, and is published from Pioltello, near Milan, Italy. There is no editorial team and no company behind it: there is one person writing the code, the words on these pages and the replies to the emails.

AnyFileStudio is part of PRG Space, the studio under which I publish my other projects — which is why the address that answers you ends in @prgspace.com.

Why it exists

Everyone knows the same half hour: a PDF too heavy to attach, an iPhone photo that will not open on someone else’s computer, a scanned form that needs signing. The usual route is to find a website, upload the file, wait in a queue, download the result — and meanwhile that document, which may well be a payslip or an ID card, has landed on a stranger’s computer, where it stays for as long as they decide.

Almost always, none of that is necessary. The browser you already have open can compress an image, rewrite a PDF, read a barcode: that is where the work can happen. AnyFileStudio is built on that single observation, and everything else follows from it — if the work happens here, the file has no reason to travel.

What we promise

  • Your files are never uploaded. They stay in your browser’s memory, they are processed there, and you save the result yourself. You do not have to take that on trust: open your browser’s developer tools, the “Network” tab, while you process a file, and watch that no request carries it away.
  • No account. No sign-up, no email address to hand over, no newsletter to join before you can download what you came for.
  • No limits and no watermarks. There is no three-files-a-day cap, nothing stamped across the result, and no “pro” tier that unlocks the thing you actually came for.
  • No visit tracking. There is no Google Analytics and no other counter: which pages you open, and how long you stay, we do not know.

What we do not promise

The same choice that keeps your files on your device brings real limits with it, and you should know them before trusting us with work that matters.

  • We cannot recover a file. It never reached us, so no copy of it exists anywhere — including here. Keep the original until you have checked the result.
  • Your device does the work. A slow computer takes longer on a large file, and some tools have a size limit, written on the tool’s own page.
  • The site does not open without a connection. Each tool is fetched when you open it: this is not an application installed on your computer.
  • Tools marked “beta” come with a reservation. They work, but there are cases we have not covered yet. Check the result before relying on it — always true, more so there.

How it pays for itself

The site is free and has no paid tier: it is funded by advertising. Ads appear below the tool, never in the middle of your work, and they do not appear at all until you have given consent — which takes one click to refuse, exactly as it takes one to accept.

They remain two separate worlds, and that is the part that matters: ads live in the page, your files are processed in an isolated part of the browser, and no advertising script can reach them. Exactly what happens when you consent is set out in the privacy policy.

Getting in touch

If a tool failed, if one you need is missing, or if you found a mistake on these pages, the Contact page explains how to tell us and what is useful to include. One person answers, so it is not instant — but every email gets read.
