Merge PDFs
Drop the PDFs you want to merge: the first page of each appears in the list, so you can tell the files apart even when they are all called “scan_0001.pdf”. The list order is the page order, and you change it by dragging or with the arrows.
Your file stays on your device: nothing is uploaded
How it works
Documents are merged in the order of the list, which you can change by dragging the rows or with the arrows. Text stays selectable and pages keep their own size, even when it differs from file to file. What does not survive the merge: bookmarks, links from one page to another (such as the clickable entries of a table of contents), form fields, digital signatures and attachments. Links to websites stay.
Frequently asked questions
- How many PDFs can I merge at once?
- From 2 to 50 files, each up to 100 MB and no more than 200 MB in total. If you have more, merge them in batches and then merge the resulting documents together: each pass keeps the order you set.
- Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
- Yes. If a file asks for a password, type it straight into its row and the merge runs again with every document. The merged PDF comes out unprotected: if you need a password on it, add one at the end with “Protect PDF”.
- I’m merging a filled-in form: will the data stay?
- In the merged document the fields can no longer be filled in. Values already typed usually stay visible, but not every reader shows them the same way: to be sure they arrive as you see them, run the form through “Lock a PDF form” first, which makes them part of the page.
- Why was one file left out of the merge?
- When a PDF is damaged or incomplete, the others are merged anyway and its row tells you what’s wrong. An incomplete file — usually an interrupted download — needs downloading again in full: opened halfway, it would give you fewer pages without saying which are missing.
