Resize and crop
Pixel dimensions matter more than quality: a 12 megapixel, 5.6 MB photo brought down to 2048 px on the long side ends up at about 110 kB and still looks sharp on screen. Here you pick the size, decide what stays in frame, and apply it to one photo or to all of them at once.

How it works
Choose how to give the size: the long side, if you just want lighter files without thinking about it; an exact box, if you need them all identical; a percentage. With the exact box you also decide what happens to differently shaped photos — fill it and trim the edges, or fit inside and leave background around. The rectangle you draw on the preview applies to every loaded photo, and it is expressed as a proportion: it takes the same portion of each one, whatever its size.
Frequently asked questions
- How many photos can I resize at once?
- Up to 200 files at a time, each up to 50 MB and 60 megapixels. Every file produced carries its new width in the name — “-1280px”, for example — so in a long batch you can tell the versions apart at a glance. With several files you can also download them all as a .zip.
- What if the photo is already smaller than the size I chose?
- It isn’t enlarged, because enlarging adds no detail; if there’s nothing to change, you get it back untouched. “Square” is the exception: filling the square means a small photo has to be scaled up. You can still allow enlarging under “Advanced options”.
- Do the format and quality change?
- The format doesn’t: a JPG stays a JPG, a PNG stays a PNG. JPG and WebP are re-encoded at quality 82 out of 100, which you can change under “Advanced options”; PNGs stay lossless. To switch format use “Convert format”; to shrink the file further, run it through “Compress images” afterwards.
- Which ready-made sizes are there besides the three suggested?
- Under “Advanced options”, choosing “Exact box”, you’ll find 1080×1080, 1080×1350 portrait, 1200×630 landscape, Full HD 1920×1080 and 4K 3840×2160. With “Long side” there are 640, 1024, 1280, 1920, 2048 and 3840 pixels. Or type in the size you need.
