Fill in a PDF form

Opens a PDF form, shows you the fields it contains and fills them in. Then it tells you exactly what it wrote, which fields were locked and which names it could not find — because a form that comes back with an empty field you thought you had filled is a rejected form. The file never leaves your device.

How it works

The fields are read from the document with their names, types and current values: text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio groups. What you type is saved into the file and drawn inside the box, so every reader shows the same thing — a value saved without its drawing is the easiest way to hand over a form that looks empty. Read-only fields, such as a reference number, are left alone: whoever locked them had a reason, and we tell you which ones we skipped. You can also lock the form right after filling it in: the values stay visible and nobody can change them, but there is no going back. If the PDF has no real fields — many boxes are just lines drawn on the page — we say so instead of handing you back an identical copy. One limit worth knowing: more complicated forms — those with a digital signature already applied, with fields that run calculations, or built with Adobe’s XFA technology — may contain fields we cannot fill. We show them anyway, read-only, rather than getting them wrong in silence.

Your files are never uploaded. Anywhere.

Not to a server of ours, not to a third party, never. When you pick a file it stays in your browser’s memory: it is read, processed and written back on your device, and you save the result yourself. There is no path that takes it elsewhere, because there is no server to send it to.
